Gleemers is an idea that has been blossoming in our minds for a while. Inspired by “glimmers,” those fleeting moments of gratitude and happiness, we reimagined the term as “glee–mers” to emphasise the joy, creativity, and delight that illuminate our lives. Whether it’s a tiny triumph or a significant milestone, these moments make the world around us brighter and more joyful. This is the exact feeling we want to infuse into the educational experience—for learners of all ages, educators, parents, and everyone involved. Gleemers embodies the joy and happy moments we all deserve to savour every single day. Our mission is to ensure that education is not just about learning but about celebrating the journey and cherishing the glee in every step. At Gleemers, our vision and dreams are rooted in the belief that every learner, regardless of age, deserves a vibrant and joyful learning experience. We aspire to create an educational environment where moments of happiness, creativity, and discovery are woven into the fabric of everyday learning. Our dream is to transform education into a journey filled with gleeful experiences, empowering children and adults to take charge of their own growth and development.
We envision a world where everyone involved in education comes together in an online multi-functional space that supports lifelong learning and exploration across various fields. Our soon-to-be-launched application will further enable children and adults to become responsible for their own learning through engaging and interactive activities. By fostering a community of learners who find joy in every step, we aim to make the world around us brighter and more inspiring. Iris Sofikiti
Educator, Creator & Founder of Gleemers
People often describe me as a bubbly personality with a restless spirit, and honestly, they’re not wrong. I’ve spent the last 15 years dancing through different corners of education, including teaching in primary schools, guiding students as an English teacher, designing creative educational programmes, and supporting fellow educators as they grow. But none of it has ever felt like “just a job.” It’s a calling, a passion, and sometimes, let’s be honest, a wild, wonderful ride.
When I first stepped into the classroom back in 2010, I wasn’t just carrying a stack of lesson plans—I was carrying a vision. A vision of learning that broke free from rigid rules and dusty textbooks. I imagined a vibrant, dynamic space where every learner, regardless of age, could explore, thrive, and discover their own rhythm through joyful, meaningful experiences.
From day one, I believed that learning should never be one-size-fits-all. We learn best when we connect what we’re learning to who we are. Every learner has their own story, their own spark—and every educator is simply there to help them light the way. We’re not here to hand out directions; we’re here to walk alongside, offer snacks for the journey (metaphorically… most of the time), and help each learner build their own unique path.
That belief led to the birth of Gleemers—a joyful, inclusive educational space where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is unleashed, and learning becomes a daily spark of delight. Because learning should feel like an adventure, not a chore, and every gleemer is a moment worth celebrating.

Have you ever thought about what it feels like to know that one of your biggest childhood dreams has come true? Ever since I was a child, I knew one thing for sure: I wanted to work with children. Not just teach them, but truly understand them, grow with them, and help them discover the magic of learning. That dream didn’t fade — it only grew stronger, including every individual who wants to be part of the amazing learning journey and shaping the educator I am today! One of my principles is to be more than just a teacher, a passionate guide on the journey of discovery, growth, and joyful learning.
Every learner is a world of their own, full of potential, wonder, and individuality. Since I became a teacher, my classroom has been a space where those differences are not only welcomed but celebrated. I always take time to know what lights up a learner’s eyes, because learning begins with interest and passion. I believe that learners learn best when they’re interested. That’s why I listen, observe, and build learning experiences around what excites them.
Always striving to evolve as an educator, learner, and teacher, I received another blessing: the opportunity to join the Gleemers team! At Gleemers, we know that when we follow our learners’ natural curiosity, learning becomes meaningful, joyful, and lasting. So, let’s grow, wonder, and dream big together!

The Bridge Between Logic and Joy
I am the person who always blends logic with warmth and happiness, a grounded economist who enjoys bringing innovative and inspiring ideas to life. For me, economics has never been just about numbers and data. What truly interests me is how decisions shape people’s lives, influence behaviour, and create growth opportunities. Behind every chart, there’s a story, and behind every number, a choice that matters.
Over the years, I’ve realised that understanding people is just as important as understanding markets. That’s probably why I’ve always felt at home not only among spreadsheets, but also in classrooms and creative spaces, where curiosity and imagination come alive. Working with children reminds me that learning can be both structured and playful, that sometimes, the best insights come from a simple question or a spontaneous idea.
At Gleemers, I bring together these two worlds, analysis and creativity, logic and play. I love exploring how knowledge connects with everyday life, and how we can make learning feel more meaningful, engaging, and human. Whether I’m discussing economics or playing a game with a group of kids, what drives me is the same thing: helping others see the world a little more clearly, and with a bit more wonder.
